On Saturday, April 19, KISM 92.9 set up a remote at the Bellingham Police Department to help support an annual fundraising event.
Fun with the Fuzz is a non-profit race that donates 100% of its proceeds to the Behind the Badge Foundation—a statewide organization that supports the families of police officers killed in the line of duty.
Over the past 10 years, participants and sponsors have helped to raise over $338,000 in donations. This year KISM, with the help of John Reynolds and Scott Less, assisted the non-profit in raising over $30,000 at the annual race.
“I’m just excited that we had another great showing of about 1,000 people to come out and support the event [this year],” said race director Lieutenant Kyle Nelson.
John Reynolds has run in the race nearly every year, this year finishing with a time of just over 26 minutes.
Brad & John continued to cover the event following the weekend on their show Monday morning. They discussed the fastest runners, the organization’s importance and the fun had over the weekend.
